About Us

The Teenager's Book Club is a place to find a good book to read. You know how hard it is to find a good book. Well, all the books on the sight are books I've read and or reading. Some are good and others are not so good. My friends have also read most of the books. That's why I decided to start a book club. Because at my school we share books, well not literally share them, but one person will read a book and if it's good they will tell someone else to read it. That is basically the goal of this Book Club.

When it Happens

This was a decent book. It was a true teenage romance kind of book. With soulmates and finding something real. The story ispredictable, you know what is basically going to happen, but it was good anyway. The characters were realistic and very easy to like, or not like. It was a good book to read if you like books about finding the person for you, even if there are a little different than you imagine. Also a girl learns to be herself and a boy learns to work harder. It has a happy ending.

Blood and Chocolate

So Blood and Chocolate surprised me. I had seen the movie, but the book is totally different. The basics are the same and everything, but the ending of the book is actually opposite of the movie. Personally I like the book better than the movie. Most books usually are better than there movies, although there are some exceptions. This book is good to read if you like werewolves or supernatural things. It ends up like the movie in being a romance except she ends up with a different person. It was a decent book to read.

Review/Description

Vivian Gandillon relishes the change, the sweet, fierce ache that carries her from girl to wolf. At sixteen, she is beautiful and strong, and all the young wolves are on her tail. But Vivian still grieves for her dead father; her pack remains leaderless and in disarray, and she feels lost in the suburbs of Maryland. She longs for a normal life. But what is normal for a werewolf? Then Vivian falls in love with a human, a meat-boy. Aiden is kind and gentle, a welcome relief from the squabbling pack. He's fascinated by magic, and Vivian longs to reveal herself to him. Surely he would understand her and delight in the wonder of her dual nature, not fear her as an ordinary human would.Vivian's divided loyalties are strained further when a brutal murder threatens to expose the pack. Moving between two worlds, she does not seem to belong in either. What is she really--human or beast? Which tastes sweeter--blood or chocolate?

Hidden

This book in my opinion was really good. It was a love story, that was really touching, but it didn't take up the whole story. It was about a woman who runs away from her abusive boyfriend and seeks refuge with her old friend, who is Amish. I recommend this book very highly. I can't wait to read the second book when it comes out.

Review/Description

When Anna decides it's time to leave her abusive boyfriend, she doesn't know where to turn. Rob has completely won over her parents, and the entire community, with his good looks and smooth charm. Only Anna has seen his dark side.
Desperate, she runs to the only place she's ever felt completely safe—the Amish Brenneman Bed and Breakfast, where Anna met life-long friend Katie Brenneman. The family welcomes her in, and with few questions asked allows her to stay, dressed in Plain clothing, and help around the inn.
Katie's older brother Henry is the only one who doesn't take too kindly to the intrusion. He tries to ignore Anna, knowing no good would ever come from caring for an Englisher like her. But as he gets to know Anna, he discovers her good heart and is surprised with her readiness to accept their lifestyle.
The more time Anna spends with the Amish, the more she feels she's found a true home. But how can she deny the life she left behind? And will her chance for happiness be stolen away by the man from her past?

Breaking Dawn

Ok so the final book in the Twilight series. It was not what I expected it to be. I mean if you have any ideas of what you think this book is going to be about then you're wrong. I was totally surprised. Personally this wasn't as good as the other three books. It just seemed different for some reason. The ending was good though and if it wasn't for the ending I would have been supremely ticked off. It was a little strange in some parts, but good in others. Jacob was hilarious! His sense of humor is awesome. I really like his portion of the book. In a way it was good that the series ended, but then again I'm a little disappointed.

Review/Description
It might seem redundant to dismiss the fourth and final Twilight novel as escapist fantasy—but how else could anyone look at a romance about an ordinary, even clumsy teenager torn between a vampire and a werewolf, both of whom are willing to sacrifice their happiness for hers? Flaws and all, however, Meyer’s first three novels touched on something powerful in their weird refraction of our culture’s paradoxical messages about sex and sexuality. The conclusion is much thinner, despite its interminable length. Everygirl Bella achieves her wishes quickly (marriage and sex, in that order, are two, and becoming an immortal is another), and once she becomes a vampire it’s almost impossible to identify with her. But that’s not the main problem. Essentially, everyone gets everything they want, even if their desires necessitate an about-face in characterization or the messy introduction of some back story. Nobody has to renounce anything or suffer more than temporarily—in other words, grandeur is out. This isn’t about happy endings; it’s about gratification.

Truth About Forever

Ok so I have read all of Sarah Dessens Books except for one. This book tied with Just Listen as one of my favorites. It had a good story and was interesting. I really liked the main guy in the story. It was a romance sort of book much like the others. Macy was all about perfection, until she meets the Wish crew who love imperfections. It really holds the point that everything happens for a reason and a little chaos never hurt anyone. I recommend this book to anyone.

Review/Description
Sixteen-year-old Macy Queen is looking forward to a long, boring summer. Her boyfriend is going away. She’s stuck with a dull-asdishwater job at the library. And she’ll spend all of her free time studying for the SATs or grieving silently with her mother over her father’s recent unexpected death. But everything changes when Macy is corralled into helping out at one of her mother’s open house events, and she meets the chaotic Wish Catering crew. Before long, Macy joins the Wish team. She loves everything about the work and the people. But the best thing about Wish is Wes—artistic, insightful, and understanding Wes—who gets Macy to look at life in a whole new way, and really start living it….
